We provide a local number in your area code and a guide for forwarding from your existing carrier or phone system. Your published business number stays the number families call. You decide when calls pass to your receptionist.
For example, staff can answer during office hours while unanswered calls forward for intake. After hours, you can forward calls to the receptionist and use your urgent routing instructions to reach the director on call. Forwarded calls must reach the number we provide before the receptionist can answer them. For the full setup, request your free trial; we email your sign-in link when the trial is ready.

Your onboarding chat covers your services, area, hours, price policy and urgent contacts. Your receptionist uses those answers and your website to answer as your business. It can handle a service-time question, take a director's message or collect details about a death.
When a question falls outside the information you supplied, it takes details for your callback rather than inventing an answer. Callers can speak English or Spanish and switch languages during the call. Hear the greeting and questions in a fictional funeral home conversation.
Get Call Details by Email, App and Dashboard
You receive an email and app push notification for each call, including a summary, urgency tag, transcript and recording. Your dashboard holds the call records and usage.

The alert gives you the reason for the call and its urgency, with the transcript and recording available for review. A daily digest email also brings your call activity together. You can open the dashboard to review what was said before returning a family's call.
For appointment requests, choose Google Calendar booking or ask the receptionist to take the details for a callback. Urgent routing follows a separate path: your on-call person can receive a page or a warm transfer. With a warm transfer, they hear a short summary and press 1 to accept the call.

Use your test call to check the details that matter to your home. Try a fictional first call, ask a question from your price list and leave a message for a director. Check what reaches your email and app, and review the transcript against your instructions.
After launch, you can tell the AI to change settings in plain words. Update your hours, services or on-call contacts when they change. The AI can make mistakes, so review summaries and keep a backup way for callers to reach you. If your plan lapses, calls go to your backup number or voicemail.
FAQ
Can I keep my funeral home's existing phone number?
Yes. You forward calls from your existing business number to the local number we provide. The forwarding guide covers your carrier or phone system, and you choose all-call, no-answer, busy or after-hours coverage. A test call lets you check the route before going live.
Will callers know they are speaking with AI?
Yes. Your receptionist identifies itself as a virtual assistant and announces that the call is recorded at the start. Those notices stay on. Use the browser demo to hear the greeting and decide how the conversation fits your funeral home's approach to callers.
What happens when the receptionist does not know an answer?
It takes the question and callback details for your team instead of filling in information you have not supplied. Review the message, transcript or recording before responding. You can then update its instructions in plain words when there is information it should use on future calls.
Can urgent calls reach the director on call?
Yes. You set contacts, backups and other urgent situations. Any death report, including removal requests, prompts caller name, callback number and the person's location, then on-call director contact at once, before further intake: warm transfer if routing allows, a page otherwise or if unanswered. With warm transfers, the recipient hears a short summary and presses 1 to accept the caller.
How do I receive and review my messages?
Each call produces an email and app push notification with the summary, urgency tag, transcript and recording. Your dashboard also holds call records, usage and settings. A daily digest arrives by email, so you can review activity alongside the alerts for individual calls.
